Specifications on the laptop appear to have been finalized:
- 500MHz AMD processor
- 1GB of RAM
- 7" display (dual color and B&W modes)
- hand-crank powered (1 minute of cranking = 10 minutes of power)
- Wi-fi connectivity
- Flash memory storage
- Linux open-sourced operating system
Apparently, Bill Gates has already made it clear to Negroponte that he wants that last part to change.
