Have been hearing more and more about low powered E-readers recently.  Sounds like Sony will be releasing one very soon.  Their screens may be bland, black and white, but they are flicker free; so easy on the eyes and they will last for a very long time on battery power. Newest addition that I came across is by a company called iRex and the product they have: The iLiad.

Looks like you will be able to write on it as well.

I have installed Microsoft Reader onto my Atom. As I have the Atom with me all the time, I find it convenient to get the PDA out during a free moment and start reading. Great for when riding public transport or a quiet moment at work and even for a quick read just before going to bed!

I think for the low-powered ebooks, the main advantage would be battery life and more screen area. Not sure I would find it convenient to carry around though. Productivity equipment for the office perhaps?  Would any of you consider a product like this?
