PCCW has been advertising its wireless internet (Wi-Fi) package. This service has been around for a while, but what is new is that they are significantly ramping up the number of hotspots around Hong Kong: more than 3,000 by the end of July 2007. This includes most Seven-Eleven’s, and we all know how many "Sev’s" we have here.
For Netvigator customers, the choices are either $48/month for 200 minutes, or $98/month for unlimited usage. The fine print with the $48 plan is that each session is counted as a minimum of 10 minutes, which means if you go online to check your e-mail for 3 minutes, they will still count it as a 10-minute session.
