O2 have been renowned for innovation over the years with the creation
and development of the Xda series of machines. The last twelve months
or so however have seen few machines being released which look to be
current compared to machines being offered by other carriers. However
this is now being addressed with O2 bringing to the marketplace the O2
Xda Stellar which is based on the design of the HTC TyTN II – one of
the latest machines created by HTC.

Umm – interesting to read the review…

However, I have never seen an O2 product look 99.9999% identical to an HTC product… I felt like I was looking at a “copy” version of the Kaiser!!!

Wired headset is nice – although is available as an extra from expansystems for around HK$300 something (I bought this 6 months ago for my Dopod D810 (now using HTC 3660i rom)… it has better sound quality than the cheaper ones you can get in Mongkok and of course the ability to add something like Sennheiser headphones is nice… (but still has the issue of opening either in WM Player or HTC / O2 Music Player by default.
Advantage of wired however is that the batter life is far superior to using a Bluetooth headset.

I talked to Expansys about this annoying forced use of WMP or HTC Music Player and they have now offered to design a fix so I can run this same remote using Mortplayer for me (free fix).
So I will have to follow up on this and get them to do this.

So overall – if only for the remote – why go O2 when you can buy the Kaiser and get the remote separately anyway!!!

Palm is dying… if O2 takes this direction, then they will be the next to go the way of Palm I would guess.
