Things that make you go Bing!!!

Microsoft is trying again on the Search engine front. The name is called Bing. Kind catchy, in a short, concise name sort of way.
“I wonder where I should buy my next pda? I know! Let me Bing it!!”
Bing claims to be a more refined, organized search engine. For example it will help organise your search in a way so that you can have reviews or price comparisons of products all on one page. It also aims to make organizing business trips and holidays in quicker, easier steps.
Will this be what breaks the Google search King?

Skyfire out of Beta
Skyfire is finally out of beta. Like with all of the mobile browsers available it has it’s strong points and it has it’s weaknesses. I think it’s strongest point is it’s ability to load up pages with Flash very well. The other day I was able to follow live text on the BBC with auto-refresh and it worked perfectly.
My main issue with Skyfire is that the text can still be quite small for reading sometimes. If I manually zoom into the page and increase the font size I then need to scroll horizontally left and right in order to read the article. I hope that they will have a feature where the text can be re-arranged into a single column when the text size gets too large. For now I still find Opera Mini and Mobile the most comfortable when it comes to reading articles with the Touch Pro.
A positive point with Skyfire is that the browsing speed is not too shabby!

Lenovo S12 with nVidia ION platform coming soon
Lenovo will be releasing a bigger version of its ‘netbook’ series, with a 12″ LCD (1280 x 800) resolution. I own the S10e with a 1024 x 576 screen so this will definitely be a nice upgrade!

Other upgrades include the nVidia ION platform with a larger 320GB hard disk drive for storage.
