Desire coming soon to Hong Kong

The HTC Desire has made it to the HTC Hong Kong web page.

Specifications are very similar to the Nexus One although the roller ball has been replaced by a optical track pad.

The dual mic appears to have been omitted from this unit. This is something that I thought worked well in cancelling ambient noise while talking in noisy environments. Something that works nicely on the Touch Pro 2 and appears to also work well with the Nexus One.

Overall a nice clean looking device and a nice fast 1Ghz CPU to boot!

(In case you missed it, there are YouTube videos of the HTC Desire available here.)

this looks quite DESIREable with its 1GHz CPU and large 3.7 AMOLED LCD.

the specifications page says tethering through USB, but no mention of tethering through Bluetooth. Is this a typo? Can your Touch Pro2 tether through BT?

Yes I can tether the Touch Pro2 to the laptop via bluetooth.
The OS between the Desire and Touch Pro2 is different though.
I am not sure if Android has the ability to do it. I read somewhere about 3rd party apps for the Android that will allow you to tether, so perhaps bluetooth tethering is not available out of the box.
Can any Android users enlighten us?
