I’m sorry for your broken shoulder.
I remember having seen your nickname in umpcportal forum.
I can’t help you the way you asked for, being a bit far from Hong-Kong.
But if your arm lets you use the Aigo and its keyboard, and if you have some basic knowledge of linux, I think that you can hack Midinux without needing an USB stick, neither a CD.
Just download the hack file and uncompress it somewhere on the Aigo (eg. in ~/MyDocs/install).
Remember that you can get access to the command line by typing
Then all the operations that you need to do are those which are performed by the script ‘postscript.sh’ in the hack file. You can do them from the command line:
cp -f statusbar.conf /root/.osso/hildon-desktop/statusbar.conf
cp -f applications.menu /root/.osso/menus/applications.menu
rm -f /usr/share/applications/hildon/*
cp -f desktop/* /usr/share/applications/hildon
cp -f pixmaps/* /usr/share/pixmaps
I have only written above the command lines which allow to display the application menu in Midinux (home icon on the left of the statusbar).
When you have entered these commands, you can reboot the Aigo. You’ll find a X Terminal application in the menu.
You can download firefox from mozilla site and install it following the instructions found on the site. Choose the same directory as shown in postscript.sh (or correct the file firefox.desktop to give the path where you’ll have installed firefox).
Just use the postscript.sh as a guideline for the other (optional) operations. Don’t forget to change the pathnames as I made above.
That’s all. I hope it will help you if you don’t find another solution.
