Does this include voice minutes and a phone number, or is it data only?
Does WiFiRouter require Activesync / WMDC, i.e. Windows only?

I see a lot of WiFi in Starbucks and PCC that claimed to be free but each time I tried to access it, it says I have to register first.
Are you talking about those “fonwifi – free” hotspots? I’ve never had any luck with those and never bother with them.
If you sign onto the y5zone hotspot, some Starbucks will give you 20 minutes of free usage per day. You just sign on, open your browser and click “Accept” on the terms on and conditions. McDonald’s/McCafe also has the same 20-minute freebie per day.
I did experience problems trying to authenticate with Opera Mobile or Opera Mini – for some reason only Pocket Internet Explorer works when trying to sign in, so give that a try.
PS. I was just talking to a friend about this the other day… there has to be a website that tracks free wifi hotspots across HK. Does anyone know of one? doesn’t matter if it’s in English or Chinese. If there isn’t one already, it should be built!
