Thanks for the detailed write up. Are you able to read PDFs comfortably on it (without reflow)? I don’t think I’ll be getting a HD any time soon, but am attracted by its screen size. Maybe next year I’ll hunt down a second-hand unit 🙂
I ended up getting the Lenovo S10e because it comes with English XP. The “e” model has a LED backlit glossy screen at 1024 x 576 and 6-cell battery. My sister has the NC10 – its keyboard layout is a bit better I’d say. I’ve had to remap the up arrow and right shift keys on my S10e – the right shift key is in a strange position. The ExpressCard slot is good for expansion though – HSDPA modem in the future perhaps.
One thing I discovered was that a lot of the units I wanted (NC10, 10″ eeepc) were out of stock… looks like these netbooks are selling really well.
