Has anyone tried the Iris Browser on their phone yet? It is still under beta development, but it’s always nice to see new browser options coming out.The Iris Browser is a flexible, high-performance application, designed to provide users with a full-featured browsing experience on mobile phones, set-top boxes, portable media players and other resource-constrained devices. Based on the WebKit rendering engine, the Iris Browser provides a powerful and standards-compliant Internet experience that is consistent across different mobile Web devices. Some of the key features of the Iris Browser include:
* Customizable user interface;
* Touch screen and rotating screen support;
* Multi-window and multi-tab browsing;
* Several zoom modes (including block zoom);
?Advanced security and privacy features (SSL, anti-phishing, and pop-up blocking).
It seems to have the potential to become a nice browser, but it seems to crash on my Touch Pro after using it for a little while. It comes out with some sort of memory error.
Anyway, if you are on the Internet on Mobile plan with Smartone you have a few more choices of browsers to choose from. Aside from your default browser on your phone you can choose from Opera Mobile, Opera Mini or Iris. If you want to download the browsers you can go to the Smartone link below. There is an Opera Mobile version available for Symbian users as well.

I haven’t used Iris before, but thanks for the headsup about browser support on my Smartone Internet on Mobile plan. Opera mobile is heaps better than Pocket IE!
