China Unicom (0762) has reached a deal with Apple to become the sole operator in the mainland to offer the iPhone 3G S for the next three years.
Unicom has agreed to buy iPhones from Apple for 3,000 yuan (HK$3,403) each, the Shanghai Securities News quoted sources as saying.
The mobile firm will guarantee total revenue of at least 5 billion yuan a year for Apple after committing to buy one to two million phones annually.
