I came across this handy little app today from the HK Observatory. A small download (600kb) and this little icon will sit in the bottom right and show you instantly, on hover, the current temperature and humidity.
You can set it to update at 5- or 15-minute intervals… but I do wonder if their system will overload as a typhoon comes in — their website always seems to bog down during those times.
There are plenty of choices for alerts:
Those strange noises you may hear are from the various warnings issued by the Observatory. At this very moment we’ve got the thunderstorm warning, strong monsoon signal, and amber rainstorm warning.
Click here for the link to the download page.
System Requirements :
1. Microsoft Windows XP or above
2. Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or above
Is this only good for HK or can it be configured for other countries?
This is limited to Hong Kong only.
