The arrival of Windows7 is upon us. Finally it is coming out of beta. I have been using the 32 bit version for a few months now using Sun Virtualbox on my Vaio notebook and have been quite happy with it’s stability. My Vaio is quite new so it comes with a Windows7 upgrade path. I need to pay about $US20 and will be able to get hold of the 64bit version of Windows7 when it arrives. (Actually it was more like $US31 as it did not include shipping)To celebrate the arrival of Win7 I thought I’d share a Windows7 demo that I came across on Youtube. It is in Japanese, but that doesn’t matter! I think you will see that the video speaks for itself. 🙂 <div style=”text-align: center;”>win7 demo (japanese tv show)</div>October 25, 2009 at 6:22 am #2010
Like you, I’ve been using the RC since it was released by MS and on the whole, I’ve have been very happy with it.
I took advantage of MS’s substantial discount by pre-ordering the OS, and they arrived on Thursday. I ordered 2 x HP and 1 x Pro.
I expected it to the the ‘E’ version but it turned out to be the full retail version, with all the trimmings including the IE browser, basically, the same as the US version 🙂
I paid a total of £180 for all three :woohoo :rock
