iPad Available in Nine More Countries This Friday
The official release of iPad in Hong Kong is near!
On Friday, July 23 2010, the iPad will officially launch in HK. Pricing details are not yet known, but expect networks such as SmarTone and Three to offer 3G plans. In fact, SmarTone has released a press release on iPad pricing plans (pdf).

iPhone 4 coming to SmarTone
I hope SmarTone’s iPhone 4 packages come out soon after the iPhone 4 lands in Hong Kong! I’ll (finally) be hopping on the bandwagon.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini
SEX X10 anyone? The Xperia X10 mini can be had from SmarTone-Vodafone for $0 – as long as you sign a contract of $298/month. However, it’s running on a somewhat outdated version of Android – version 1.6. It weighs in at only 88g and comes with a 5MP auto-focus camera with LED flash. Full X10 specs can be found here.

Motorola Milestone XT701 available for pre-order from SmarTone
Got word today that Motorola’s Milestone XT701 is now available for pre-order from SmarTone-Vodafone. The XT701 is an Android 2.1 phone that is jam-packed with features:
- TI OMAP3 600MHz processor (ARM A8 Cortex)
- 512M ROM, 256M RAM
- 3.7″ 480 x 854 capacitive touch screen LCD
- 5.0 MP camera with Xenon flash
- Video-recording at 800 x 480
- HSDPA 10.2Mbps / HSUPA 5.76Mbps
The handset itself costs HK$3,980 or HK$3,880 if you are a SmarTone customer. Better yet, if you sign a 24-month contract the phone can be yours for free — after a pre-payment of $3,580.
