MIT is developing a $100 laptop, targeted for developing countries. It will make use of innovative power mechanisms, like hand-wound power and will be "able to do everything expensive laptops do except store large amounts of data." Windows XP SP3: coming after Vista
SP3 will be deemed important and a priority for Microsoft developers, and it's likely that it will include the much-touted WinFS file system. "A representative of Microsoft's French division told ZDNet France on Friday that the company plans to release a third service pack for the Windows XP operating system.
