SWIdget service launches

The World Meteorological Organisation has enhanced its Severe Weather Information Centre website by launching the SWIdget service which allows people to obtain severe weather warnings issued by participating official weather services in real time. Hong Kong Observatory launches Star Ferry wind information service

The Hong Kong Observatory is further enhancing its regional weather information service.  Starting from today (12 May), real-time wind information from the Star Ferry wind station is available to the public through the Observatory's website and dial-a-weather service.
